I am Renee Funderburg, the proud principal of Argyle West Elementary, which I opened in 2019. I have over 30 years of experience in education. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Texas Tech University. I have a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University and I completed coursework at UNT to obtain my Superintendent's certification. I was an administrator in Lewisville ISD before coming to Argyle where I have been a principal for many years. 

My husband, Scott, is a Battalion Chief in Flower Mound. My son, Braden, is also an engineer/paramedic for the Flower Mound Fire Department. We enjoy spending time at our ranch in Central Texas and traveling with friends. We also love playing with our silver lab, Lacy.
