    Bus Routes
To find out more information about your student's bus route, click here. In an attempt to shorten ride times and streamline routes, the Argyle ISD School Board has approved the following walk-to-stop distances:

    • ¼ mile Pre-K-5th grades
    • ½ mile 6th-12 grades

    Bus Eligibility
Argyle ISD uses a computerized routing and mapping system as the standard by which all eligibility measurements are made. This is accomplished by incorporating GIS street and parcel data provided by the county. When schools are established, the GPS coordinates of the flagpole are taken and imported into the routing system. This allows for the most accurate measurement between the flagpole and each residence in a given attendance zone and is the standard used by Argyle ISD.

Bus Passes & Releasing Pre-K through 5th Grade Students
All students are issued a bus pass. If your student has not received a bus pass, they are not registered for transportation and will not be allowed to ride the bus until transportation services have been requested and processed.

8/24/23: At this time, the transportation department is backlogged printing bus passes. Drivers will not enforce the bus pass policy until we are caught up. Please allow up to 72 hours to process the request.

In Argyle ISD, student safety is always our number one priority. AISD Transportation requires that all students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade have a legal guardian, parent, or sibling (4th grade or older) at the bus stop to receive them off the bus. An email can be sent to the Transportation Department to michael.delong@argyleisd.com to allow the student to get off the bus without supervision.

    Bus Pass Replacement
If your student misplaces or loses their bus pass, a replacement pass will need to be purchased. The replacement cost will be $5.00. The fee can be paid online with a credit Card. or in person with a check or cash. Use this link to pay with a credit card:  https://argyleisd.revtrak.net/transportation/  You can also scan this QR code to pay with your phone or tablet:

    Not Eligible for Busing?
Although we take great measures to avoid inaccuracies, please understand that errors may occur. If you feel we have made an error, click here to submit your specific request. The Transportation Department will investigate the request and verify the distance determined by the mapping and routing system. After the verification is complete, an email or phone response will be sent with the findings. If it is determined that the measurement is incorrect, the appropriate changes to the stop boundary will be made and busing information will be provided.

    School Board Approved Walk-to-Stop Distances
Routes are created using the Board approved walk-to-stop distances. Elementary and Intermediate students may be required to walk up to ¼ of a mile to a bus stop.
Middle School and High School students may be required to walk up to ½ of a mile to a bus stop.  Bus routes are designed to limit student ride time to no more than 55 minutes one-way if at all possible.
