Registration Information & Directions

  • *Before enrolling your student(s), please check school district boundaries and make sure the residence is paying taxes to Argyle ISD.

    * Please note parents or guardians will NOT receive notification/confirmation from the campus immediately regarding a new student registration submission. The student's proof of residency and information must be verified before the new student registration is confirmed. Staff will begin processing registrations starting July 24.

    *We are unable to issue Temporary Transfers for any of our elementary campuses, as well as the Sixth Grade Center.  If you are purchasing/building a home you will not be able to register/enroll your student until you have closed on your home and live in the district.  If you are leasing, you may register as soon as your lease begins.

    *If you do not have a current electricity bill and have moved into your home, we will accept a warranty deed with an electricity connection notice from your provider. After receiving your first electricity bill, please provide a copy to the campus.

    *If you are in the process of moving and don't have a current electric bill – and your student will be attending Argyle Middle School (7th-9th grades) or Argyle High School (9th-12th grades), please email Yvolene McGarvey at yvolene.mcgarvey@argyleisd.com to discuss a Temporary Transfer.

    Argyle Middle School and Argyle High School are the only campuses accepting Temporary Transfers for 2023-2024.

    KEY DATES

    • Proof of Residence Submitted: July 24 - Aug 2, 2024
    • Kindergarten Registration: Starts April 2, 2024
    • New Student Registration: Starts May 13, 2024

    • Must be current on all required immunizations or have signed/notarized original Texas immunization waiver
    • Driver's License

    Proof of Residency (Current Electric Bill)*

    *If you are in the process of moving and don't have a current electric bill, please email Yvolene McGarvey at yvolene.mcgarvey@argyleisd.com to discuss a Temporary Transfer.

    TEMPORARY TRANSFERS:

    • 2023-2024 school year: Only available for Argyle High School and Argyle Middle School. This DOES NOT INCLUDE the Sixth Grade Center at 800 Eagle Drive. 
    • 2024-2025 school year: Available for all campuses.

    Please note that you must submit a copy of your current electricity bill to establish permanent residence to your student's campus as soon as it is received.

    PROOF OF RESIDENCE

    Listed below are the types of documents we will require for proof of residence based on your living situation:

    1. If you reside in a home you own in Argyle ISD, we need your current Electric bill for that home. We only accept the electric bill. It cannot be a service set-up email it must be a statement.
     
    2. If you are building or buying a home in Argyle ISD, you will need to contact the Administrative Office to apply for a Temporary Transfer. Email Yvolene McGarvey at yvolene.mcgarvey@argyleisd.com.
     
    3. If you are renting a home in Argyle ISD, we will need your lease AND an electric bill in your name.  If the electric bill is not in your name we will need your lease AND the most recent electric bill in your landlord's name.
     
    4. If you and your student are living with a family that resides in Argyle ISD, you will need to contact the administrative office regarding a Host Home Application. You will need to bring the approved Host Home Form as your proof of residence.
